Our commitment to making The Game Traders accessible to everyone.
Last updated: April 4, 2026
Our Commitment
The Game Traders is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards to make our marketplace usable by as many people as possible.
Conformance Standard
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning, and neurological disabilities.
Measures We Take
Semantic HTML structure for screen reader compatibility
Keyboard-navigable interface for all core features
Sufficient color contrast ratios for text and interactive elements
Alt text for images where meaningful descriptions are available
Responsive design that adapts to different screen sizes and zoom levels
Clear focus indicators for interactive elements
Form labels and error messages that are programmatically associated
Dark mode support to reduce eye strain
Known Limitations
While we strive for full accessibility, some areas of the site may have limitations:
- User-uploaded images (listing photos) may not always have descriptive alt text, as they are provided by sellers
- Some third-party components (Stripe payment forms) have their own accessibility implementations that we cannot fully control
- Real-time messaging features may have limitations with certain assistive technologies
We are actively working to address these limitations and improve accessibility across the platform.
