About A-Ressha de Ikou MD
A-Ressha de Ikou MD is an entry in Artdink's A-Ressha de Ikou series of railroad simulation games, otherwise known as Take the A Train or simply A-Train. A Ressha de Ikou MD was released exclusively on the Sega Mega Drive in 1992, being ported by MNM Software (according to founder Mikito Ichikawa). The game refers to games created by Artdink in 1989 and 1991, which may suggest elements were taken from A Ressha de Ikou II or A Ressha de Ikou III released around that period. Like most entries in the series, A Ressha de Ikou MD was not released outside of Japan, although A Ressha de Ikou III, rebranded as A-Train was brought to western computers by Maxis, also in 1992.

What it needs to play
- Some modesSave battery (inside the cartridge) — saves to memory kept alive by a battery inside the cartridge; if that battery has died, saves are lost (MAME cartridge records).

A Japan-only business simulation that is among the cheapest Japan-only carts to pick up.
A Ressha de Ikō MD was made by M.N.M Software and published by Sega, and it came out only in Japan, on 10 April 1992. It belongs to the A-Train series of business simulations that Artdink began in Japan in 1985.
Before you buy
Among Japan-only carts it is at the very bottom for loose price, so the main purchase concern is the battery. The game saves to a battery inside the cartridge; check that a save holds, and note that a replaced battery is a normal repair, not a sign of a fake. Japanese cartridges are a different shape from Western ones and do not fit a Western console without an adapter or removing two plastic tabs in its slot.
