A rugby league game for European and Australian Mega Drives, cheap to pick up and listed as playable by four.

Australian Rugby League was developed by I-Space Interactive and published by EA Sports for the Mega Drive in Europe and Australia, with a PAL release date of 29 December 1995. It is built on Creative Assembly's Rugby World Cup '95 but uses rugby league rules. Besides the Australian Rugby League itself, it includes State of Origin, Super League (eleven English teams and one French) and an international mode.

Before you buy

There is no US cartridge; the PAL cart is the one to buy, and its loose price sits below the middle among European-only carts. Sega Retro lists it as working with EA's 4 Way Play, for four players. EA's 4 Way Play and Sega's first Team Player do not run each other's games, but Sega's later Team Player (MK-1647) runs both in its EXTRA mode.
