About Body Slam
Body Slam, known in Japan as Dump Matsumoto, is a Sega System 16 arcade professional wrestling game developed by Esco Boueki and manufactured by Sega Enterprises, Ltd. Originally endorsed by professional Japanese wrestler Dump Matsumoto, the game was first released to Japanese arcades in May 1986, and was later brought to the United States later that year. One month later in June 1986, Sega R&D 2 released the similar Gokuaku Doumei Dump Matsumoto for the Sega Master System, which shares similar gameplay. Another wrestling game by designer Hiroshi Aso, Wrestle War, would be released in 1989. Body Slam is said to be the first video game to depict female professional wrestling.

An early tag-team wrestler that the period press found awkward to control and visually weak.
Pro Wrestling is a Sega wrestling game for the Master System, released in Japan on July 20, 1986, as Gokuaku Doumei Dump Matsumoto, in North America in December 1986 and in Europe in August 1987. It centers on tag-team wrestling, with duos you guide toward championship titles around the world.
Reviews were mixed, with critics faulting the graphics and the controls. Mean Machines Sega's games guide liked the presentation screens but called the in-game graphics poor and the control mode very awkward, and recommended it only to diehard wrestling fans.

Before you buy
There is a US, a European and a Japanese release, which carries a different title. The European cart is cheaper than the US one, much so loose. The Japanese cart costs far more than the US one and is a different, smaller shape that needs an adapter on a Western console. Loose, the price is below the middle of the US-released carts. Ask for a clear photo of the board before paying for any copy at a high price.
