About Championship Bowling
Championship Bowling, known as Boogie Woogie Bowling (ブギウギ・ボーリング) in Japan, is a 1993 bowling game for the Sega Mega Drive by Visco. Visco handed overseas distribution of the game to Mentrix Software, who removed the "boogie woogie" theme by redrawing graphics and changing the playlist (though the original songs remain in the sound test). The Japanese version of the game would be re-released for the Polymega console as part of the Polymega Collection Vol. 4 - DRIFT OUT disc, alongside other Visco games licensed by PixelHeart.

A niche bowling cartridge, and the US copy is the cheap way to own it.
Championship Bowling was developed by Soft Machine, with Mentrix Software and Visco credited as publishers. It reached North America in February 1993, and Japan in December 1993 as Boogie Woogie Bowling.
What the press said at the time
“The graphics recreate the feel of a real bowling alley. You get to see hilarious reactions to your shots, and the overall game play is smooth throughout.”
Before you buy
Among US carts this sits about at the median. The Japanese Mega Drive cart, titled Boogie Woogie Bowling, usually costs far more than the US one, loose and complete, and has a different cartridge shape. A complete US copy means the case, cartridge and manual.
