About Dice Puzzle

If you enjoy games like Rubik's Cube, then you'll like this one. The object of Dice Puzzle is to get all 16 dice to show the same number. You accomplish this by clicking on a column or row, which advances all of the numbers in that column or row by one (of course six advances to one). See how quickly (or in how many moves) you can do it.

An obscure multi-label puzzle cartridge with little on the record.

Dice Puzzle is one of the 2600's European and Asian multi-label releases, where the same game was sold by different publishers under different names. It also appeared as Bingo. Little else is documented about it.

What the press said at the time

Computer Entertainer Vol. 2 No. 11February 1984Graphics ★★ · Play-Action ★★

“While DICE PUZZLE is obviously not a highly visual game, we found the graphics plainer than necessary. … DICE PUZZLE is definitely not for fans of action games, but those who enjoy solving puzzles may enjoy this one.”

— Computer Entertainer, February 1984

Computer Entertainer rated graphics first and play action second, from four symbols (excellent) to one (poor) — stars in most years, diamonds in 1986–87 — comparing each game only with other games for the same system.

Before you buy

Low risk. No reproductions are documented. Check which label you are looking at: an end-label variant is priced separately from the standard cart. Because the game circulated under more than one name, confirm the label matches the listing and ask for photos of the front and end labels.
