Atari's last official 2600 release alongside Klax, a PAL-only car-combat game that is also on Atari 50.
Sculptured Software developed Fatal Run, a post-apocalyptic vehicular combat game, and Atari Corp. published the 2600 version in Europe in 1990; it had no North American release. Along with Klax, it was the last game Atari officially released for the 2600, and at 32KB it is reportedly the largest game released for the system.
Reviewing the 2600 version in 2000, Atari 2600 Connection criticized its lack of an ending cut-scene. It is on Atari 50: The Anniversary Celebration if you only want to play it.
How it was made
Designed by Steve Aguirre and developed by Sculptured Software, which also made a 7800 version. Atari Corp. published the 2600 cartridge in Europe in 1990.

Before you buy
Low risk. No fakes are documented. As a late Atari Corp release it should be in the universal 2600/7800 shell with no dust door and a cheaper gray label; that is correct for the era, not a sign of a fake. Check whether you are looking at the standard release or the Limited Edition variant, which is priced separately. It is a PAL cartridge, so on an NTSC console and TV it will roll and show odd colors.
