A mini-game collection with a mouse option and a Whack a Clown game that the Super NES version lacks, cheap in the US and dearer in Europe.

Fun 'n Games is a compilation of mini-games from Leland Interactive Media, published by Tradewest and Sony Electronic Publishing. It reached North America in December 1993 and Europe in October 1994. The Genesis version has a Whack a Clown game that the Super NES version lacks, and the North American Genesis cart has one more game in its Games section than the European Mega Drive cart.

Mike Weigand of Electronic Gaming Monthly called it a good non-action game that almost anyone can enjoy.

How the Sega Genesis version differs

The North American Genesis version has an extra game in the Games section that the European Mega Drive version lacks.

The Whack a Clown game, a Whac-A-Mole variant, is exclusive to the Genesis version.

The Genesis version is compatible with the Mega Mouse.

  • Super NES. The Super NES version works with the Super NES Mouse and has virtually no gameplay difference from the Genesis version.
  • Super NES. Nintendo Power and GamePro praised the Super NES version's variety, music and graphics in 1994, but found the activities simple and the arcade-style games too shallow.

Before you buy

Among US carts it sits below the middle, and the risk of a fake is low. The European cart usually costs noticeably more than the US one, both loose and complete. Sega Retro lists it as working with the Sega Mouse.
