A cartoon-licensed Mega Drive platformer built around soccer-playing heroes, one to buy for the license rather than for depth.

Hurricanes is based on the animated television series about a soccer team and its adventures, developed by Arc Developments and published by U.S. Gold. The Mega Drive version came out in Europe in October 1994. The goal in this version is simply to get from the beginning of each stage to its end, with a cast of characters from the show to choose from. It reached North America only through the Sega Channel download service and was not released on a US cartridge (Sega Retro).

Before you buy

The European cartridge is the one to look for. Any US-style cartridge of this game is a modern reproduction or homebrew cart. Among games with no US cartridge it sits a little below the middle.
