About Ice Trek

In order to stop another Ice Age from occurring, Vail the Avenger must make a trek across the frozen lands in order to reach the Ice Palace of Kalktron the Terrible and put a stop to his evil plans to freeze the land. He will have to ski through a herd of Caribou, cross the frozen river, and then take on the many dangers of the Ice Palace in order to stop Kalktron. Can he stop another Ice Age?

A three-screen Norse adventure that Computer Entertainer rated well and that is mildly pricey for an Imagic cart.

Imagic listed Ice Trek in 1983 among eight new Intellivision titles for the first half of the year. You play Thor, skiing past stampeding caribou, building an ice bridge, and attacking the Frost Giant's fortress across three screens in a one-player game with three skill levels. Computer Entertainer gave it a strong rating, and noted the thundering hooves.

Thor carries an axe, but the reviewer warned against using it on the caribou. It is a puzzle-adventure rather than an arcade action game.
