About Jerry Glanville's Pigskin Footbrawl
Pigskin 621AD is a sort of dark-ages-medieval-fantasy-style combat rugby game in which two five-player teams take to the field to compete in a game of "footbrawl," all the while dodging rocks, trees, pools, pits, furniture and other obstacles. Each player controls the team captain of one of the teams. The original coin-op cabinet was set up with two joysticks and one screen, with both players sharing that same screen; if either player's team captain falls off the screen, he is quickly able to catch up and get back into the action. A version for the Sega Genesis, retitled Pigskin Footbrawl and endorsed by coach Jerry Glanville, was released by Razor Soft

A football game endorsed by coach Jerry Glanville, adapted from an arcade original, and a cart that sits above the middle among US carts.
Jerry Glanville's Pigskin Footbrawl is the Genesis version of the arcade game Pigskin 621 A.D., retitled and endorsed by the football coach Jerry Glanville. Developer Resources made it and RazorSoft released it in North America on 18 December 1992. Two teams try to score touchdowns, and the arcade original plays closer to rugby than to American football.

How the Sega Genesis version differs
The Genesis game is a retitled version of the Midway arcade game Pigskin 621 A.D., endorsed by coach Jerry Glanville and released by RazorSoft on December 18, 1992.
Compared with the arcade game, the Genesis version has no scythe and torch, shorter and quieter music, soundbites from Falcons coach Jerry Glanville, and a hidden sound test.
