About Marsupilami

Marsupilami is a character created by Belgian cartoonist "Franquin". Marsupilami is a long tailed made-up character who was stolen from the jungle and performs in a circus. After helping the other animals escape, Marsupilami must make his way back to the country he came from - Palombia. The aim is to guide his Elephant companion, Bonelli, through the levels, passed obstacles and traps. As he progresses, he gains more abilities by collecting power ups. Each level is timed so each action must be thought about carefully.

A pleasant family platformer based on the comic, though it can feel hurried.

Apache Software developed this Sega platformer, based on the comic series. It reached Europe on 27 October 1995 and North America in May 1996.

GameFan found it good 2D family fun for younger players, with backgrounds scrolling in many parallax layers, though it disliked the time limit on each level.

Before you buy

Among US carts this sits above the median. The European loose cart usually costs about the same as the US one, while a complete European copy usually costs noticeably less. Sega Retro lists it as using the six-button pad. A complete US copy means the case, cartridge and manual.
