A maze game built for the SegaScope 3-D Glasses, and not worth buying without them.
Maze Hunter 3D is a maze game developed and published by Sega. It came out in Japan as Maze Walker on 31 January 1988, in North America in May 1988 and in Europe in 1988. Mean Machines called it an entertaining game of mazes and more mazes and said the 3D effect is pretty good.

“The 3D effect is pretty good, and the game is fun to play, but not Earth-shatteringly brilliant.”
“The 3D effect is pretty good, and the game is fun to play, but not Earth-shatteringly brilliant. Not an essential purchase by any means, but if you're after some¬ thing to go with your 3D glasses, this is worth check¬ ing out.”
“Not exactly superb, but there’s plenty of incentive to get going as tons of little sprites chase you round a maze.”
Before you buy
There are three releases. The SegaScope 3-D Glasses are required, so make sure you have a pair. The European cart costs much more than the US one loose and far more complete, so the US cart is the cheapest way in. The Japanese cart, Maze Walker, costs more than the US one loose and far more complete, and it is a different, smaller shape that does not fit a Western console without an adapter. Check that the manual is there.
