Three NES Mega Man games rebuilt for the Genesis plus a bonus game, on a cartridge that never reached US shelves.
Mega Man: The Wily Wars is a compilation developed by Minakuchi Engineering and published by Capcom. It remakes the first three NES Mega Man games and adds Wily Tower, a new game that unlocks only with a completed save file. It came out in Japan on 21 October 1994 as Rockman Mega World and in Europe in April 1995.
The game reached North America only through the Sega Channel download service rather than a US cartridge (Sega Retro).

Before you buy
Look for the European cart or the Japanese Rockman Mega World cart; the Japanese one usually costs much less than the European cart, but its cartridge has a different shape and needs an adapter or two plastic tabs removed from a Western console's slot. Any US-style cartridge is a modern reproduction or homebrew cart. Because the bonus game depends on a save, check that the cartridge can save. For a copy at this price ask for a photo of the board and compare it with the board listed on this page.
