NBA All-Star Challenge on the Genesis was developed by Beam Software and published by Flying Edge, in North America in 1992 and in Europe in 1993. The game was also made for the Super NES and Game Boy, and this page is for the Genesis cartridge.
Electronic Games called it a refreshing change of pace in 1993 amid the many team-oriented basketball games of the time.

Electronic Games described the Genesis release from Flying Edge as reproducing basketball's most popular two-player half-court variations, from classic one-on-one to HORSE, rather than full team play.
