An early basketball game that is among the cheapest US carts.

Sega developed and published Pat Riley Basketball, which reached Japan on 2 March 1990 as Super Real Basketball, with Europe also getting that title in 1990, and North America in August 1990. It has two modes and eight teams.

Electronic Games, in 1993, looked back on it as the first such 16-bit simulation, with a real NBA coach and made-up teams from eight American cities.

Before you buy

Among US carts this is one of the cheapest. The European cart usually costs about twice as much as the US one, while the Japanese Mega Drive cart usually costs somewhat more and has a different cartridge shape. A complete US copy means the case, cartridge and manual.
