The 1998 monochrome original of the tile-connecting puzzler, and the third of the three-cartridge Puzzle Link problem.

Released in October 1998 as Renketsu Puzzle Tsunagete Pon!, remade in colour in 1999, and followed by a sequel in 2000. The Color remake and the sequel both reached the West; this original did not.

All three support link play, and the sequel adds a card-battling mode on top — so the feature grew across the line rather than being dropped.
