Sega Master System prices, all games & how to spot a fake

A light-gun shooting game best known as the second half of the Master System's US pack-in cartridge.

Safari Hunt was developed and published by Sega and released in North America in September 1986 and in Europe in August 1987. Computer Entertainer's overview of the new system listed the console's pack as including the Light Phaser and a combo cartridge containing Hang-On and Safari Hunt. Tec Toy's 1989 catalogue says the game requires the Light Phaser.

Treat it as a companion to the Phaser and the Hang-On pack-in rather than as a standalone showpiece.

Before you buy

Make sure you have a Light Phaser, which the game needs. The pack-in came as a combo cartridge with Hang-On, so check the label to see what you are getting. European copies are often mixed up with American ones, since the US console plays European carts.
