An all-female SNK crossover fighter that was a Japan-and-Europe curiosity for years and is now one of the platform's expensive English cartridges.

Gals' Fighters pulls the women from SNK's fighting rosters into a single game and plays it mostly straight — this is a real fighter with the same excellent stick response as the rest of the SNK output, not a novelty. The tone is light, the sprite work is among the best on the console, and the whole thing is unusually confident for a late-life release.

It came out in 2000, at the wrong end of the platform's life, which is why it is harder to find in English than the 1999 fighters. It is on NEOGEO POCKET COLOR SELECTION Vol. 1 for the Nintendo Switch.

This is exactly the profile reproductions target: expensive, in demand, and unfamiliar enough that most buyers have never seen a genuine label.
