S.T.U.N. Runner is a 3D racing/shooter game released in arcades by Atari Games in 1989. The player pilots a futuristic vehicle which can exceed 900 mph, through various tunnels and courses with changing environments, hazards and enemies. S.T.U.N. Runner uses polygonal graphics for the vehicles and track, and is based on an evolution of Atari's Hard Drivin' hardware. The custom cabinet was designed to resemble the craft that the player pilots in-game.

Atari's tube racer on a handheld, and one of the platform's better technical arguments.

A 1991 conversion of the Atari Games arcade tube-shooter, pitched at the time on one number: roughly 700 miles per hour through 3D tunnels of unpredictable twists, shooting the opposition out of the way as you go. The Lynx’s hardware distortion and scaling are doing exactly the work they were designed for, and the sense of speed survives the shrink better than it had any right to.

Cheap, common, and never re-released — so the cartridge is still the only way to play this version.

Arcade. Atari Games' 1989 coin-op, one of the titles Atari explicitly bought Lynx rights to alongside Hard Drivin' and Cyberball (EGM #6). EGM #29's panel judged the handheld version "has the same look and feel of the popular arcade version" and "as close as you can get", while conceding "there are some areas that don't come off as well".
