A late Atari Corp original by Doug Neubauer, cheap and on Atari 50.

Super Football is an American football game that Atari Corporation developed and published for the Atari 2600 in March 1989. It came out alongside Super Baseball, an updated RealSports Baseball, but Super Football is not related to RealSports Football. It is an original game programmed by Doug Neubauer.

It is one of the later releases in the 2600 library, and it is on Atari 50: The Anniversary Celebration if you only want to play it.

How it was made

Programmed by Doug Neubauer and released by Atari Corporation in March 1989, alongside Super Baseball.

Cartridge & preservation record

Before you buy

Low risk. Loose carts are inexpensive, and complete copies cost only a little more. Atari Corp releases from 1986 onward use a universal 2600/7800 shell with no dust door and a cheaper gray label, so don't mistake that for a sign of a fake.
