A run-and-gun port that at least one period reviewer ranked among the better Master System games.
Time Soldiers is a run-and-gun game that began as an Alpha Denshi arcade game. Sega published the Master System version, which reached North America in May 1989 and Europe in July 1989. Continues are limited to three per player.
Duncan Evans of Popular Computing Weekly rated it one of the better Master System titles, comparing it favorably to Commando and preferring it over the Master System versions of Golvellius and Altered Beast.

“the Commando-style action is fun - even more so with two players. Shoot em up fans should certainly get their fair share of jollies out of this.”
“The graphics on this obscure coin-op conversion are dinky, but nicely defined, and the Commando-style action is fun - even more so with two players. Shoot 'em up fans should certainly get their fair share of jollies out of this.”

Before you buy
There are two releases. Loose, the US and European carts cost about the same, but the European cart costs somewhat more complete. The US cart sits around the middle of the price range for US games. Check that the manual is there, since it is the part most often missing from a complete copy.
