Chess, Checkers and Backgammon on one INTV cartridge, a useful solo board game pack.

Triple Challenge is an INTV Corporation compilation from March 1987 of Chess, Checkers and Backgammon, games Mattel had already released. Mattel Electronics Teletape and APh Technological Consulting are credited for them.

Computer Entertainer said it was perfect for gamers who enjoy the perennial board games but often have no one to play with.

What the press said at the time

Computer Entertainer Vol. 6 No. 2May 1987Graphics ★★★ · Play-Action ★★★

“This is a fine, ... inexpensive, addition to your Intellivision library which ... you'll find yourself pulling out to play over and over again.”

— Computer Entertainer, May 1987

Computer Entertainer rated graphics first and play action second, from four symbols (excellent) to one (poor) — diamonds through early 1987, stars after — comparing each game only with other games for the same system.

Before you buy

INTV shipped it without keypad overlays, so overlays sold with it are reprints. It is an inexpensive cart.
