Sega's Master System tennis game, a cheap pickup that Mean Machines held up against its older rival.
Wimbledon is a tennis game developed by SIMS and published by Sega, released in Europe in May 1992. When Mean Machines Sega reviewed the older Super Tennis, it said that game was no match for the more recent Wimbledon Tennis.
What the press said at the time
| Mean Machines Sega Issue 3 | December 1992 | OVERALL 88% |
| Sega Master Force Issue 1 | August 1993 | 82% |
| Sega Pro Issue 36 | September 1994 | 90% |
“This is the best Sega tennis game by a minuscule margin. It's fast, there are lots of modes of play and the championship tournament takes a lot of practice to win.”
“Court graphics are simple but scrolling’s smooth and sprites are clear. Simple controls, plenty of challenge and playabilty.”
“Centre court has never been so good on the MS … This is a tennis sim of the highest standard.”
