A Xonox word game with almost nothing documented about it.
Xonox published Word Feud for the ColecoVision in 1984, with Emag credited as developer. No period review or description of the rules turned up, so a gameplay verdict would be guesswork.
Worth knowing
- From the ColecoVision manual. You can pick Word Given (for younger children), Four-Letter Word, or Three or Four-Letter Word, and play alone, against the computer, or against another person.
- From the ColecoVision manual. A wrong guess costs you two jumping men, so guessing is a bad gamble; you win by getting a whole row of them.
- From the ColecoVision manual. Against the computer, a frog and a butterfly race you to uncover both copies of the hidden word by eating letters.
Before you buy
Standard keypad controller. Loose copies trade well above the cheapest third-party titles, though there is no boxed price to compare. Ask for a photo of the label and a confirmation that the cartridge has been tested.
