A licensed wrestling game that reached the Master System late, and an above-average price for a European cart.

WWF WrestleMania: Steel Cage Challenge is a professional wrestling game based on the World Wrestling Federation. It came out on the NES in 1992, and the Master System version followed in 1993, developed by Teeny Weeny Games and published by Flying Edge in Europe in July 1993 and by Tec Toy in Brazil the same year. Mean Machines had earlier reported that Acclaim planned to bring a WWF title to the Master System.

What the press said at the time

Sega Pro Issue 21July 199379%

“Not offensive to the eye or ear, but it just doesn't do anything for the player. We reckon that even diehard WWF wrestling fans will be disappointed with this one.”

— Mean Machines Sega, July 1993

“Wrestling isn’t the best sport in the world, but the WWF superstars seem to háve made it seem so. This is a very plausible attempt to recreate the action.”

— Sega Pro, July 1993
