Battlezone: Rise of the Black Dogs is the Nintendo 64 port of Activision's 1998 PC game Battlezone, which mixes a tank simulation, a first-person shooter and real-time strategy. Climax Development handled the N64 conversion and Crave Entertainment published it in North America in April 2000.
Electronic Gaming Monthly previewed the port in January 2000. It highlighted a Pilot Mode in which you join an elite squad of hover-tanks following your commander's orders, multiplayer in Death Match, Capture the Flag and Arena Battle forms, and the way the PC game's complicated controls carried over to the N64 controller. It expected action and strategy fans to enjoy it.

Before you buy
Fake risk is low. This is a North American release only. It sits well above the median price for the library, and a complete copy costs a good deal more than a loose one. Nintendo listed the Expansion Pak among enhancements for this game, but it is optional.
