About Chakan: The Forever Man
Chankan: The Forever Man was an Action Platformer for the Sega Megadrive/Genesis. The game featured an uncommonly dark premise for the time of its release, which saw the home console market flooded with licensed platformers based on family-friendly media. It is based upon a comic book by Robert A. Kraus and was produced by Ed Annunziata, who met Chakan's creator at a convention and was impressed.

An eerie, ambitious comic-book platformer that Sega Pro found let down by its play, now priced above the middle.
Chakan: The Forever Man was developed by Extended Play and published by Sega, based on a comic book of the same name by Robert A. Kraus. Producer Ed Annunziata took it on after meeting the comic's creator at a convention. The Genesis cartridge arrived in North America in November 1992 and Europe in February 1993.
Sega Pro said its creative graphics and music give an eerie atmosphere, but felt that failing gameplay lets it down.
