A thin college basketball knock-off of NBA Jam, worth a look out of curiosity at most.

College Slam is a college basketball game developed by Iguana UK and published by Acclaim, released in North America in February 1996. You can play a tournament, a season or a single game, and it includes most major Division I schools, with a few notable ones left out. Critics widely accused it of being a thinly veiled repackaging of NBA Jam.

Reviewing the Genesis version, Next Generation argued that even the college licensing did little for the game, since it does not use real players and in some cases gets the teams' uniform colors wrong.

How the Sega Genesis version differs

A Next Generation critic gave the Genesis version 2 out of 5 stars, saying the college license did nothing since it used no real players and sometimes got uniform colors wrong.
