Atari 2600 prices, all games & how to spot a fake

A late Atari Corp conversion of Exidy's light-gun arcade game, cheap and easy to find.

Crossbow started as a 1983 Exidy arcade game played with a gun shaped like a full-size crossbow. Atari Corporation later brought it to the 2600, the 7800 and the Atari 8-bit computers.

The 2600 cartridge came out in 1988, designed by Dan Kitchen and developed by Imagineering. Little else is documented about this version.

How it was made

Designed by Dan Kitchen and developed by Imagineering. Released by Atari Corp. in May 1988.

Before you buy

Low risk. Loose, boxed and sealed copies are all inexpensive. As a late Atari Corp. release it may come in the later universal shell with no dust door and a gray label, which is normal for the period and not a sign of a reproduction. Make sure the listing is the 2600 cartridge and not the 7800 version.
