About Destructor
Your starcruiser lands in the hostile city of Araknid to collect precious Crystals needed desperately on earth. Your equipment: the mighty Ram-car. Use your Ram-car to bump Krystaloids, transforming them into precious Crystals! But watch out for the evil Destructor and deadly Insektoids, protectors of the Krystaloids! Can you collect the invaluable jewel-like Crystals and fly home? This is one of the few Colecovision games to make use of the Expansion Module #2, the Steering Wheel Controller. You steer your armored Ram-car through Araknid's maze searching for Krystaloid insects. Ram them to form Crystals, then push the Crystals to the starcruiser.

A Coleco driving cartridge made for Expansion Module #2, whose long slide through the release schedules is better documented than its gameplay.
Destructor is a Coleco release dated May 1984 in the library. Computer Entertainer's release schedules marked it as a cartridge for use with Expansion Module #2, the steering wheel and pedal set that came packed with Turbo.
It kept slipping. Computer Entertainer listed it for August in an early schedule (issue 2-5), then for October (issue 2-7), then for November (issues 2-8 and 2-9), and in issue 3-1 promised a review the next month alongside WarGames and BurgerTime. Beyond that, little about how it plays has been documented for this page, so treat it as a steering-wheel curiosity from the tail of Coleco's catalog.
How it was made

Worth knowing
- From the ColecoVision manual. Skill 1 gives you five Ram-cars; the Side Buttons are not used in the game.
- From the ColecoVision manual. Later rounds can be set at night, when borders and Insektoids are hard to see; you get a flash of daylight when you bump something or fire a Crystal.
- From the ColecoVision manual. A bonus Ram-car arrives at 20,000 points, then another for each additional 40,000, capped at five bonus cars.
Before you buy
Destructor is compatible with Expansion Module #2, the Driving Module that came with Turbo, so the module is the way to play it as intended and is a separate purchase. Test the cartridge on a console before paying. The box and manual carry much of a complete copy's value, and sealed copies exist at a further premium.
