A children's Winnie the Pooh platformer whose N64 port lost the voices and video of the PlayStation game, and a cart priced below the median.

Tigger's Honey Hunt is a Winnie the Pooh platformer from Doki Denki Studio, released on the Nintendo 64 in North America by NewKidCo in October 2000 and in PAL regions by Ubi Soft in April 2001. It began as a PlayStation game, and Doki Denki subcontracted Rivage Games to port it to the N64 in about four months, to catch the release of The Tigger Movie.

The N64 version has limited voice acting and no video clips, though it loads faster than the disc versions. Nintendo Power and N64 Magazine both faulted the missing voices, Nintendo itself said the amount of reading might challenge young players, and N64 Magazine said the lack of voice and animated scenes made it feel unfinished.

“Another hurried Disney-based title, rushed out for those who don't know any better.”

How the Nintendo 64 version differs

The N64 version has only limited voice acting and no full-motion video clips, unlike the PlayStation and Windows versions.

The N64 port was subcontracted to Rivage Games after the game began as a PlayStation title; it was developed in four months, against nine months for the PlayStation version.

Before you buy

A loose copy sits below the library median and the fake risk is low. Complete copies cost several times the loose price. PAL copies cost a bit more loose and about the same complete, so there is no European bargain.
