Not a beat 'em up — a fighting game that satisfied nobody, with the most unexpected credit on the platform.

Double Dragon V abandoned the series' brawler roots for a one-on-one fighter based on the 1993 animated series: a mediocre Street Fighter II follower wearing a beloved franchise's name. The Jaguar port's remarkable credit: it was built at Telegames by Ed Salvo — whose earlier work includes Wizard Video's The Texas Chainsaw Massacre for the Atari 2600, one of the most notorious cartridges ever released. The man behind the 2600's most infamous game also made a Jaguar cart, thirteen years later, on Atari's last console.

Before you buy

Common and cheap in NA/EU; the Japanese-channel release is scarce. Better story than game — which is a legitimate way to sell it.
