About Firepower 2000

Choose between a Helicopter Gunship or an Armoured Jeep and prepare to enter enemy territory as part of the elite assault team of SPECIAL WEAPONS INTERDICTION VEHICLES. Battle against enemy 'copters, thanks, hovercraft, snowmobiles, mechanised flying fish, giant weapons installations andmuch more in this vertically scrolling shot 'em up. But beware, the enemy is armed with the latest deadly weaponry, including the lethal SILWORM IV homing missile.

A tough, busy helicopter shooter that Mega Drive owners got as Mega SWIV, best with a friend.

On the Mega Drive this is Mega SWIV, developed by Sales Curve Interactive and published by Time Warner Interactive. It came out in Europe on 17 February 1995.

Sega Pro called it a fun little blaster and the best version of the game it had played, noting that the Mega Drive game packs in more enemies and is very tough, though it felt too unoriginal to keep coming back to. The magazine found two-player mode the best way to play.
