A quick, arcade-style baseball game that Nintendo published itself, and a cheap cart in the US, but not in Europe.
Major League Baseball Featuring Ken Griffey Jr. is a 1998 baseball game developed by Angel Studios and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo 64. It lets you pick any contemporary Major League Baseball franchise for an exhibition, a full season or a World Series, includes all 30 stadiums, and has a Home Run Derby for up to four players. It was seen as the faster, more arcade-like alternative to the more realistic All-Star Baseball '99. A sequel, Ken Griffey Jr.'s Slugfest, followed in 1999.
It slipped on the schedule: GamePro reported in November 1997 that Nintendo had pushed it back to March 1998, and the North American release came on May 26, 1998.
How it was made
Developed by Angel Studios and published by Nintendo.
Before you buy
The US cart is cheap, below the library median loose, and the fake risk is low. The PAL release costs far more than the US one, several times as much loose and complete, so do not assume the European copy is the bargain. The game saves to a battery inside the cartridge, so a replaced battery is a normal repair, not a sign of a fake. The Rumble Pak is optional.
