A Namco arcade compilation for the N64 that needs a Controller Pak just to save your scores.

Namco Museum 64 is the Nintendo 64 entry in Namco's long-running Namco Museum series of compilations of its arcade games. Mass Media developed it and Namco published it in North America on November 29, 1999. It was released in North America only.

The game requires a Controller Pak with eight free pages and one free slot to save high scores and settings.

What the press said at the time

“Instead of five volumes of Museum games, N64 owners get one cartridge filled with six of the best games from the ‘805. Classic gameplay like this never gets old.”

— Electronic Gaming Monthly, February 2000

“The N64 conversions of all six are nigh-on perfect. … Six near-faultless conversions — but one for teary-eyed nostalgics only.”

— N64 Magazine, August 2000

“You really can't go wrong with this six pack of fun. Personally, I'm not a big fan of Pole Position or Galaxian, but Pac-Man, Ms. Pac-Man, Galaga, and Dig Dug are all mega classics”

— Game Informer, January 2000

Before you buy

Budget for a Controller Pak, which the game needs for saving; it does not save to the cartridge. The cart is cheap, below the library median loose, and fake risk is low. A complete copy costs a few times the loose price, and sealed copies cost much more again.
