Midway's arcade-style basketball on the N64, closer to NBA Jam than to a simulation.

NBA Showtime: NBA on NBC is the Nintendo 64 version of Midway's arcade basketball game, developed for the console by Eurocom and released in North America on November 16, 1999. The arcade game was modeled on NBC's NBA broadcasts, takes its name from NBC's pregame show and is the successor to NBA Hangtime and NBA Jam. Like the arcade version, the N64 game supports four players.

GameFan's December 1999 news pages welcomed the home version as arcade insanity coming to the N64 with an all-star lineup and simple gameplay. Next Generation's reviewer said it would probably best be called NBA Jam 64, and that it captured arcade-style basketball action remarkably well on the console.

“The Nintendo. 64 version is decent, but it's far from arcade perfect. The players are smaller. The graphics are fuzzier.”

— Game Informer, December 1999

“This console version of Showtime is a little rough around the edges, but it retains the insanely fun gameplay of the arcade”

— Electronic Gaming Monthly, December 1999
