A 3-D racing game for the SegaScope glasses that is rougher than the first Master System OutRun but works well in 3-D.

OutRun 3-D is the second of four OutRun racing games developed for the Master System. It was released in Europe in June 1989. It is a separate game rather than a three-dimensional version of the original OutRun, though its road network is laid out like the first Master System OutRun. It was one of eight Master System titles built for the stereoscopic 3-D glasses, and it also has a 2-D mode.

Mean Machines Sega pointed out that it is not as smooth as the first Master System OutRun, but described it as perhaps the best stereoscopic 3-D game on the market.

What the press said at the time

Mean Machines Games Guide	May 1992	OVERALL 81%
Sega Pro Issue 35	August 1994	83%

“Out Run 3D is about the best 3D glasses game around, and should therefore be put at the top of your shopping list”
— Mean Machines, May 1992

“This has to be the best 3-D game available on the MS to dáte, which isn't saying much.”
— Sega Pro, August 1994

This is a European cart, and loose it is one of the pricier carts in that group. For a copy at this price, ask for a photo of the board and compare it with the board listed on this page. The SegaScope 3-D Glasses are optional, because the game also has a 2-D mode.
