About Pengo
The player controls Pengo, a red penguin that resides in the Antarctic. The game takes place in an overhead maze made of ice blocks, where Pengo fights the trolling, blob-like Sno-Bees. The objective of the game is for Pengo to survive a series of rounds by eliminating all Sno-Bees, while amassing bonuses by bringing together the three diamonds dispersed in the maze.

Atari's own 2600 version of Sega's penguin maze game, an uncommon late Atari Inc. release.
Pengo began as a 1982 arcade game developed by Coreland and published by Sega. In the original you play a red penguin who crushes Sno-Bees by sliding ice blocks into them. Mark R. Hahn did the 2600 conversion for Atari, Inc., released in May 1984. Little is documented specifically about the 2600 version.

Before you buy
Low risk. No fakes are documented. The box and manual carry much of a complete copy's value, so check that both are present, and compare the label against a known scan.
