Konami's doodle-styled 2D brawler that some reviewers of the European release found a poor, slower conversion of the Japanese original.

Rakugakids is a 2D fighting game developed by Konami Computer Entertainment Kobe and released in Japan in July 1998 and in Europe in December 1998. The name combines the Japanese word for doodle, rakugaki, with kids, a nod to its art, which resembled children's drawings.

Some reviewers of the European release criticized it as a poor conversion of the Japanese game, which had played faster.

Before you buy

This page prices the PAL cartridge. It is above the median for its small group, and a complete copy costs several times the loose price. The Japanese release is a separate release that sells for somewhat more loose and about the same complete. For a cart at this price, ask the seller for a photo of the board, which is the reliable test; a cart that boots proves nothing.
