What the press said at the time

Computer Entertainer Vol. 1 No. 11February 1983Graphics ★★★ · Play-Action ★½
Electronic Fun with Computers & Games Vol. 1 No. 8June 19834 joysticks
Video Games Player Vol. 2 No. 1August-September 1983C+
Arcade Express Vol. 1 No. 15February 27, 19838/10

“Graphics are clean and coloful, but game play can get tedious very quickly. … we seriously doubt that even small children would play repeatedly without becoming bored. Not recommended.”

— Computer Entertainer, February 1983

“Once "Ram It" works up a good head of steam, there are few one-player games that provide such continuous excitement.”

— VIDEO (Arcade Alley), May 1983

“At last! Another first-rate Breakout-type game with no space ships, dragons or nuclear meltdowns. This is gameplay stripped to its bare essentials: action, color and sound. And it works!”

— Electronic Fun with Computers & Games, June 1983

“This abstract target shoot-'em-up is a clever switch on the venerable wall-bashing theme that was pioneered by Atari's Breakout almost six years ago.”

— Electronic Games, June 1983

Computer Entertainer rated graphics first and play action second, from four symbols (excellent) to one (poor) — stars in most years, diamonds in 1986–87 — comparing each game only with other games for the same system. Electronic Fun rated games out of four joysticks. Video Games Player graded games like a report card, A+ down to C-.

Low risk. No fakes are documented. The box and manual carry much of a complete copy's value, so check that both are present, and confirm whether the copy is NTSC or PAL.
