An obscure Data Age shooter, cheap loose and of interest mainly to completists.

Data Age developed and published Encounter at L-5 in October 1982, and it does not appear to have had a PAL release. Little else is documented about it beyond its publisher and release date.

What the press said at the time

JoyStik January 1983

January 1983

★★

“Encounter at L-5 is a weak Demon Attack variant in which Warrior Ships zig- zag down the screen and fire at your Antimatter Launcher. There's not much in the way of original- ity going on here.”
— JoyStik, January 1983

“The graphic treatment is highly stylized and, with its striking screen colors, is quite attrac- tive.”
— Arcade Express, 1983

JoyStik’s capsule ratings run from one star to five.
