A two-player parachuting game from 1979, one of the cheapest carts in the library and on Atari 50.
Sky Diver began as a 1978 Atari arcade game by Owen Rubin. Jim Huether ported it to the 2600, and Atari released the cartridge in 1979. It shows a parachute drop zone from the side and is built for two players, though one can play alone.
Sears sold the same cartridge as Dare Diver. It is on Atari 50: The Anniversary Celebration.
How it was made

Worth knowing
- 1981 dealer price. Atari's confidential retailer price list for January 1 to June 1, 1981 lists Sky Diver (CX2629) in its basic tier: dealers paid $14.00 against a suggested retail price of $22.95.
Before you buy
Low risk and very cheap. Check which label you are buying. The standard Atari cart and the text-label cart cost only a few dollars. The Sears Dare Diver cart is the same game under a different name and costs several times as much, so make sure a listing priced as Dare Diver actually shows that label.
