The N64's version of Activision's Spider-Man, a good-natured port that trades voiced cutscenes for comic-book panels and costs more than most carts of its year.
This is the Nintendo 64 version of the 2000 Spider-Man action-adventure, made by Edge of Reality for Activision and released in North America in November 2000. The story has Spider-Man trying to clear his name after a doppelgänger frames him, while he foils a symbiote invasion led by Doctor Octopus and Carnage.
The N64 version differs from the PlayStation, Dreamcast and Windows versions in its cutscenes. Where those have pre-rendered cutscenes, this one shows captioned freeze-frames in the style of a comic book, with fewer voice clips, because of the console's technical limits. It also has a sound test where you can listen to the individual samples of the music tracks.

Before you buy
The cartridge was released in North America only and is one of the pricier carts of its year, sitting well above the median for the library, with a complete copy worth roughly three times the loose price. Budget for a Controller Pak: the game saves to a Controller Pak, not to the cartridge. The Expansion Pak and Rumble Pak are both optional. The fake risk is low.
