About Ucchan Nanchan no Honoo no Challenger: Denryuu Iraira Bou
Ucchannanchan no Honoo no Challenger: Denryuu Iraira Bou follows the same playing principle as the mechanical wire loop game. In this variant, the player has to guide a ball through six courses which basically consist of narrow ways with curves and obstacles. Later levels introduce moving obstacles and parts in which the screen slightly tilts. The player is not allowed to touch anything and has to solve the course within a time limit. This all is commentated by an enthusiastic announcer. Multiplayer is a simple split-screen race.

A quirky wire-maze game based on a Japanese game show, a curiosity rather than a deep game.
Ucchan Nanchan no Hono no Challenge: Denryu Ira Ira Bo is a puzzle game developed by Yuke's and published by Hudson Soft, released in Japan in December 1997. It is based on a segment of a Japanese game show, and Neo Geo and PlayStation games draw on the same show. You guide a stick through six increasingly difficult wire mazes without touching the walls, and you earn crowns from bronze to platinum depending on how quickly you finish.
Nintendo Life later judged that it lacks the ground-breaking quality of Super Mario 64 or the graphics of Banjo-Kazooie, but that it is fun, challenging and different.
How it was made
Developed by Yuke's and published by Hudson Soft.
Before you buy
This is the Japanese cartridge, and the game came out only in Japan. Loose copies sit a little above the middle of the Japan-only group and above the 1997 median. A complete copy costs about twice a loose one. Fake risk is low.
