About Bio-Hazard Battle
During the first global biowar, a powerful retrovirus filled the planet Avaron with new and deadly forms of life. Only a few survivors remain in O.P. Odysseus, an orbiting platform circling Avaron. Hundreds of years after the biowar, conditions on Avaron are still hostile but livable.

A strange, good-looking Sega shooter that sits above the middle of US prices.
Bio-Hazard Battle is a scrolling shooter made and published by Sega. It came out in Japan on 30 October 1992 as Crying: Aseimei Sensou, in North America in December 1992 and in Europe in January 1993.
Sega Force rated it highly, calling it a Mega Drive shooter with a weird plot, smart gameplay and wonderful graphics.

“Bio-Hazard Battle is one of the best shoot-em-ups to come flying into the Genesis in awhile. The graphics are stunning, and the action's cunning.”
“But for those with the big “seen it, done it” badge stuck on their gamesplaying talents, you’ll already have played this type of game many times before. … Tough, but a good fun game with lovely graphics.”
“Spectacularly gross graphics, two player option, unusual scenario and good extra weapons systems make this a winner. 0896”

Before you buy
Among US carts it sits above the middle. The European cart usually costs about the same as the US one. The Japanese release (Crying) usually costs much more and has a different cartridge shape, so it is not the cheaper route.
