Prices are per version and are not interchangeable, and neither are the reviews: conversions in this era were often built by a different studio than the original, so a score earned on one machine says nothing about how another plays.

The Sega Master System version
A late-era Looney Tunes platformer that is one of the pricier European carts but about typical for 1995.
Cheese Cat-Astrophe Starring Speedy Gonzales is a platform game developed by Cryo Interactive for the Game Gear, Master System and Mega Drive. On the Master System it was published by Sega in Europe in May 1995, and Tec Toy released it in Brazil in 1995.
How it was made
Cryo Interactive developed the game, with Sega publishing in Europe and Tec Toy in Brazil.
How the Sega Master System version differs
Only the Game Gear version was released in North America, so the Master System version is a European and Brazilian release.
Also on other platforms
Genesis · Game Gear
- Game Gear. The four Electronic Gaming Monthly reviewers gave the Game Gear version 5.5 out of 10, blaming screen blurring when Speedy moves.
Before you buy
Buy the European cart or the Brazilian Tec Toy cart, both official. Loose it sits well above the middle of the European-only games, but a little below a typical cart from 1995. A complete copy costs much more than a loose one, so settle the box question first. The look-alike risk is low. Check that the manual is there, since it is the part most often missing from a complete copy.

The Sega Genesis version
A Looney Tunes platformer that reached the Mega Drive only in Europe, and one of the pricier European-only carts.
This is the Mega Drive version of Cheese Cat-Astrophe Starring Speedy Gonzales, a platform game developed by Cryo Interactive and published by Sega. It came out in Europe in May 1995, and the same game also appeared on the Master System and Game Gear.
Unlike the Game Gear version, which did reach North America, the Mega Drive cartridge is a European release, so a European cart is the one to look for.
How the Sega Genesis version differs
Of the three versions, only the Game Gear game was released in North America, so the Mega Drive release was not sold there.

- Game Gear. Electronic Gaming Monthly gave the Game Gear version 5.5 out of 10, saying the hardware could not keep up and the screen blurred whenever Speedy moved.
Before you buy
There is only one release to buy: the European cartridge. Its loose price sits above the median among European-only carts, and above the median for 1995 releases too. It is a cheap-tier game with no per-game fake concerns. Check the copy is the Mega Drive game and not the Master System or Game Gear version, since all three share the title.
