A demanding, beautiful gravity shooter from Zyrinx that is cheap in the US and dearer in Europe.
Sub-Terrania is a multidirectional shooter developed by Danish studio Zyrinx and published by Sega, reaching North America in April 1994 and PAL territories in May 1994. You pilot a rotatable ship that is constantly subject to gravity and inertia, rescuing trapped miners from a colony invaded by aliens. Zyrinx's members left the Amiga for the Mega Drive because they were impressed by how many sprites it could handle.
Mean Machines Sega called it an addition to the list of Mega Drive classics, if a minor one because of its size, and Mega ranked it number 16 in its list of the top Mega Drive games of all time.

“This game requires a lot of thought as well as a quick trigger-finger, making this one of my favourite games at the moment.”
“Time to dust off those Thrust-ers and go spinning around in an underground shoot-’em-up.”

Before you buy
Among US carts it sits a little below the middle, so there is no premium to pay. The European cart usually costs about twice as much as the US one when loose, and more when complete.
