An EA basketball game built around the 1992 Dream Team, and a cheap Genesis pickup.

This is the Genesis cartridge of Team USA Basketball, made by Electronic Arts and tied to the 1992 United States men's Olympic basketball team. It is a spin-off of Bulls vs Lakers and the third game in the NBA Playoffs series. It came out in North America in August 1992, in Europe on 7 October 1992 and in Japan on 26 December 1992 as Dream Team USA.

Electronic Games thought it followed Electronic Arts' tradition of great sports titles, with gameplay as its most impressive feature.

— GamePro, May 1993

Worth knowing

  • Card set. A three-card set was bundled with each copy; put together, the cards showed the roster against a sky background with the words BARCELONA '92.

Before you buy

Among US carts it sits below the middle. The European cart usually costs less than the US one, and the Japanese loose cart usually costs less, though a complete Japanese copy usually costs more. The Japanese cartridge has a different shape from a Western one.
