Battletoads & Double Dragon - The Ultimate Team is the fourth game in the Battletoads series. It is a crossover with the Double Dragon series of beat 'em up games developed by Technos Japan. It was released for the NES, with ports for the Super NES, Sega Mega Drive/Genesis, and Nintendo Game Boy. Despite the presence of the Double Dragon characters, Technos Japan had no actual role in the game's development.

A crossover beat-'em-up that is a plainer Genesis port of an NES game, and one of the pricier US carts.
Battletoads & Double Dragon: The Ultimate Team is a 1993 crossover of Technos' Double Dragon and Rare's Battletoads, developed by Rare and published by Tradewest. The Genesis game is a port of the original NES release. You play the martial artists Billy and Jimmy Lee or the Battletoads, and it came out on the Genesis in North America in 1993.
Critics were not especially kind to the port: GameFan thought the Super NES version better in presentation, color, detail, effects and sound, and Video Games & Computer Entertainment noted that the NES game's graphics saw little improvement on the Genesis.

Among US carts it sits above the middle. The cart is valuable enough to check carefully: a Western Genesis cart has no notch in its shell, and a flat shell with a notch is a repro sign, so ask for a photo of the board before paying a high price. A cardboard-box release is priced separately from the plastic-case copy, so check which one a listing is.
